about us

Welcome to our blog_space!

We thought it would be fun to create a place where we can share some fun content, post pics, as well as post news & updates ‘on the fly’…

We began our journey in the sport of triathlon on May 24, 2003 with entry into the Early Bird Sprint Triathlon as a team – The Killer B’s. This simple step set us in motion on a series of worldwide triathlon adventures and endurance accomplishments.

We both raced our first Ironman in 2006, and ran our first stand-alone marathon later that same year. We were having so much fun, we decided to take things up a notch and began racing in multiple Ironman events each year, in different countries around the world. Since then, we’ve each raced in 16 Ironman events, including the prestigious Ironman World Championships in Kailua-Kona Hawaii.

Our passion for endurance racing also lead us into the world of ultra’s – running the JFK50 mile ultra-marathon, and eventually, taking on Ultraman. The Ultraman is a 3-day individual ultra-endurance triathlon, consisting of a 10K swim, 420K bike and 84.4K run. We were invited to race Ultraman Canada in 2011, and had such a phenomenal race experience, we returned in 2012, and were subsequently invited to race in the Ultraman World Championships in Hawaii that same year. Accomplishing the ‘double’ Ultraman finishes in Canada and Hawaii earned us recognition as the 2012 Canadian Ultra Distance Male and Female Triathletes of the Year – which was a huge personal achievement for both of us.

In addition to triathlon races, we’ve run in several half and full marathons, including Boston, and coach runners of various abilities to reach their goals. Through our training and race adventures we hope to inspire others to embrace a lifestyle of fun and fitness, and chase their dreams!

  1. I see you are doing the Grand Canyon R2R2R April 26 2013. That’s on my bucket list of must do endurance events. I’d be interested in joining you if you want an additional companion. I’m a triathlete (Olympic – Ironman) and ultra runner (50k, 50 miler, 100 miler). Thanks,
